Sweet and Sour dishes can be made of slightly fatty meats such as tempura fish or shrimp. However, if you are on a diet or health conscious, you can opt to a lighter, healthier option e.g. lean chicken, fresh fish and shrimp which are not fatty and do not require coating or deep-frying at all. The Lobo Sweet & Sour Seasoning Mix is created especially to flavour such meat or fish perfectly. This dish has fewer calories, really tastes good and is good for you.
Chop chicken, fish, or other meat or use shrimps and dredge in soy sauce.
Place skillet on the stove. Add oil and heat. Add meat and fry until cooked.
Add water and close lid. Simmer for 20 minutes.
While waiting for contents of the skillet to simmer, dissolve Sweet & Sour Seasoning Mix in ¾ cup (180 ml.) of water. Chop all vegetables. Add all the contents to the skillet. Increase heat and bring to the boil then lower heat.
Add pineapple, stir and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from stove and serve.
Lobo Sweet & Sour Seasoning Mix contains two packets which can be used for 2 cookings.
Pineapple should be juicy and sweet or canned pineapple is an alternative.
